Jerry serves MC Power as the Vice President of Energy Development, focused on Solar and Energy Storage project creation and implementation.  He graduated from the University of Missouri-Rolla in 2006 with a BS in Engineering Management with an emphasis in Industrial Engineering and a minor in Psychology. He has over a decade of experience in the power and automation industries, including contract management, system and process design, business development, equipment specifications and procurement contract development and negotiation, field engineering, and field team management. Jerry works with potential clients to determine specific needs and solutions for their energy needs. At his most recent role as Project Manager for Kiewit, he managed projects that included electrical load flow studies, motor starting analysis, MV & LV switchgear and transformer replacements and Lightrail Traction Powered DC Substation design and commissioning.  Jerry also became one of Kiewit's subject matter specialists on Grid Scale Battery Storage technology. He is quite involved in the engineering community outside of Kiewit. He is the President for the Association of Energy Engineers – Kansas City (AEE-KC) and recently stepped down from the Board of Governors for the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air-Conditioning Engineers – Kansas City (ASHRAE-KC).  In his free time, Jerry loves running, spending time with his family, singing or playing drums at church, and networking/building new relationships.

Ryan currently is a Sales Engineer for the Charles D. Jones Company specializing in HVAC. He has a passion for providing solutions that are easy for people to use and integrate. Some of that passion has transferred over to Energy Efficiency. With nearly a decade in the HVAC industry Ryan’s expertise includes heat transfer products, building controls, VAV systems, hydronics, custom air handling and fire life safety. He enjoys learning about new innovations and hopes to help grow AEE in Kansas City. In his free time Ryan enjoys the outdoors with his family and two dogs.

Dan has been involved with energy management since 2007 while serving as the Energy Specialist for the Blue Springs School District. Under his tenure as the Energy Specialist, the Blue Springs School District has obtained energy star certification at 19 of its buildings district wide. Dan has been involved with AEE since 2009 and holds the title of certified energy manager. His background includes an AAS Degree in HVACR which is where he originally started working as a service tech and owning his own residential HVAC business for 10 years. He also has an extensive background in HVAC controls and is always looking for opportunities to save on utility cost for the Blue Springs School District. In his spare time, Dan likes to spend time with his wife Karin and yellow lab Goldie and is an avid outdoorsman who loves to hunt ducks and pheasants and also enjoys fishing.

Amber’s current role is Proposal Coordinator with Tradewind Energy, one of the largest wind and solar companies in the U.S. Coordinating with all departments, she prepares cutting edge bid packages for prospective clients. Prior to Tradewind, Amber was with Brightergy for four and a half years, as Sales Administration Manager and Accounts Receivable, where she was focused on Sales, Operations, and Finance support. This role allowed her to be involved with each project every step of the way -- from prospect qualification to contract signing through project completion. She graduated from the University of Southern Illinois at Edwardsville with a B.A. in Sociology with a minor in Criminal Justice. She holds a M.A. in Environmental Studies with a concentration in Sustainable Development. Amber also serves as the Sustainability chair for the CCVI’s (Children’s Center for the Visually Impaired) annual Trolley Run. In her free time, Amber enjoys traveling with her husband, craft beer, local food, Royals baseball, and her dachshund, Rudy.

Steve holds a Mechanical Engineering degree from the University of Missouri with a MBA from Rockhurst University located in Kansas City. He is managing partner at NexGen Technology Solutions, LLC, a consulting company specializing in development of strategy for companies aspiring growth. Prior to this position Steve led business creation and new product introduction in N.A. for Grundfos Pumps Corp. reporting to headquarters located in Bjerringbro, Denmark. He led system development projects incorporating innovative solutions to improve efficiency and significantly reduce energy consumption for ground source heating and cooling systems in commercial buildings. Steve is passionate about sustainability of solutions that minimize use of energy and water. During his tenure at MRI Global he led several renewable energy programs which included director of the Center for Integrated Algal Research and startup of one of the largest solar test and demonstration sites (Solar Technology Acceleration Center/SolarTAC) in the US located in Aurora, CO. Steve resides in the Kansas City area with his family.
